County Carlow Chamber have been shortlisted in 3 categories in the National Chamber Awards

This morning, 5 May 2022 saw the announcement of the shortlist for the Chamber Awards, designed to recognise best practice that has supported Chamber members and their communities in a variety of ways across the country.

County Carlow Chamber are delighted to have been shortlisted within the awards in three categories, those being Best Marketing Campaign, Event of the Year, and Most Innovative Project.

Speaking at the announcement of the Chambers Ireland “Chamber of the Year Award” shortlist, Chambers Ireland Chief Executive, Ian Talbot, said:

“While the local chambers across the network span cities and towns of highly divergent scales, the challenges that exist on the ground often share the same causes even if they are expressed in different ways. Our annual awards are a way to help our members learn from each other’s successes and to draw inspiration from the activities of chambers from across the network. Over the Covid crisis, this sense of shared challenges was never greater than for those of us who represent businesses, large and small.”

Brian O’Farrell, CEO of County Carlow Chamber commented, “We are delighted to have been nominated in three Categories for this years awards and look forward to the awards which are scheduled for June.  The Chamber continues to work on behalf of its members in a wide range of ways and to receive this recognition for these 3 very different projects over the last year is very welcome and a great boost to all involved.”

The three nominations for County Carlow Chamber are as follows:

Best Marketing Campaign – Carlow Elves – Shop & Support Local Online and Offline

The Campaign was designed in several ways, showcasing the message of “Shop & Support Local, Online & Offline” connecting with people across the county in a range of ways locally in the communities and businesses, in the Nationalist, through KCLR and digitally.

Event of the Year – Carlow Business Awards 2020 & 221

The 2020 & 2021 awards were quiet unique doe to COVID.  Celebrating, Promoting and recognising businesses, organisations and the people across Carlow over the two year period in an event which was hosted live in three venues simultaneously.  The event in November welcomed 340 to the 3 venues and over 636 online.

Most Innovative Project – Promoting the County Carlow Consumer Experience – Developing The Love Carlow Digital Hub

This project saw the development of Lovecarlow.ie as a Digital Hub for community and business across the county including a comprehensive business directory and community focused and led pages.
