Autolaunch

Autolaunch Ltd. was founded in 2002. Its principal activity is the manufacture of automotive tooling and die build. The company is the brainchild of Edward Hickey and his brother Michael, natives of Carlow returning home from Canada. Most of its customers are in the US automotive industry. The company is based in Carlow and has 285 employees. The location provides a keen, well-educated and skilled labour force.

The Carlow area has a long established die manufacturing culture, spanning more then 35 years. Autolaunch is a machining and tool making facility which will sell to multinational automotive industry suppliers worldwide. Its tools will manufacture components for BMW, Mercedes and other leading car makes.Because of the global nature of the automotive industry, Autolaunch has been totally export driven from the start.
