Senior Microbiologist

As Senior Microbiologist you will become part of a highly experienced team of Microbiologists and Specialists in the areas of Sterility testing, Bacterial Endotoxin testing and New Product Introduction test method qualifications and will join a team of 4 specialists, 5-7 Microbiologists within a wider team of approx. 30 team members in the Microbiology department.

You will work with multiple stakeholders and departments across the site.

This team is currently working an extended day shift pattern Monday to Friday and further flexibility exists.

The Carlow site is continuing to grow with new state of the art fill finish facilities and Microbiology Laboratories giving room to grow and expand your career with ample development opportunities.

 

You will work as directed by Microbiology Lab Manager according to Company safety policies, cGMP and cGLP.  You will lead technically challenging investigations, who provides motivation and mentoring to more junior analysts.

You will demonstrate drive, initiative and a hunger for knowledge and quality of work and understand the wider business context and the pivotal part QC plays in the manufacturing and release process. You will also demonstrate awareness of safety for self and others in all aspects of work and is a leader of safety initiatives within the lab. You will be a Subject Matter Expert in several assays. You will ensure that laboratory objectives are effectively achieved consistent with company requirements to ensure compliance, safety and reliable supply to our customers.
