Carlow Chamber Launch 2025 Activities Calendar

Jan 16, 2025

County Carlow Chamber of Commerce launched their calendar of events for 2025 in The Old Post Office Café in Bagenalstown yesterday.

January tends to be a time of reflection and planning – examining the impact of the past year, while planning for the future – and this was certainly true for County Carlow Chamber of Commerce.

‘As a Chamber our role is to be the voice of the vibrant business community here in Carlow.  We provide a range of events and services that support the growth and development of our member companies, and indeed of the county.’ Explains Michael Quinn, President of County Carlow Chamber of Commerce.  ‘We were delighted with the level of member engagement in 2024, and are striving to ensure that we continue this upward trajectory for 2025.’

Last year was a busy and productive year for the Chamber with progress across a variety of areas including:

  • Delivering a wide selection of member supports such as training, business advice, export documentation, advocacy and member promotion
  • Increasing both member numbers and member engagement levels
  • Hosting over 1100 people at over 20+ events
  • Attracting over 400 entries into the Carlow Business Awards, with 116 finalists and 26 winners
  • Rolling out the Vote Carlow campaign – and seeing two TD’s elected in County Carlow
  • Winning the ‘Event of the Year’ at the Chambers Ireland Awards

Building on this momentum, the Chamber launched of their calendar of activity 2025 at their inaugural Chamber Chats event in The Old Post Office Café in Bagenalstown.

‘ Listening to and understanding member needs is at the heart of what we do.  With this in mind, we have developed a suite of activities, supports and services that reflect these needs and that provide options and opportunities for our wide variety of Chamber members.’ Explains Nicola Doran, CEO of County Carlow Chamber. ‘ We launched a calendar of activities for the coming 12 months that includes flagship events such as the Carlow Business Awards, the Chamber BBQ, the Chamber Golf Classic and the President’s Lunch as well as a series of 4 types of regular training and networking events.’

The full calendar of events below – includes collaborative events with key stakeholders such as the Local Enterprise Office Carlow and Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet.  This website will be updated as event bookings open and as more events are refined and launched:

Carlow Chamber Calendar of Events 2025

Within the calendar are 4 types of regular events:

  • Chamber Chats are member-hosted events designed to be an informal opportunity to meet with other members – a great chance to connect with like-minded businesses.
  • Chamber Skills Exchange are member-led sessions on key business topics, providing in-depth advice from an expert in the field
  • Chamber Lunch & Learns are short on-line sessions on practical topics, providing an opportunity to learn top tips and skills over your lunch break
  • Chamber Business After Hours are member-hosted tours and networking sessions, providing members with the opportunity to get a deeper insight into the host business

The first of these new Chamber Chats focused on ‘Maximising Your Membership’ so that existing, new and potential members could see the diversity and variety of options on offer, and could select the supports and events that best suit their business.

County Carlow Chamber would like to thank new members, The Old Post Office Café in Bagenalstown for hosting this event – and opening their doors to the Carlow business community.
