Our practice was originally formed in 1985 by Tony Harney as T A Harney & Co. On the admission of James Nolan as a partner the firm changed its name to Harney Nolan Business Advisors. We currently employ thirteen people, six of which are qualified accountants. We ensure that a high percentage of our staff are qualified that way we can guarantee that clients will get the best possible service from knowledgeable and experienced individuals.

We have built up a great deal of experience and expertise in serving our clients throughout Ireland and abroad. We are auditors to a wide range of business entities.
These include indigenous and multinational, commercial and not for profit organizations.We have experience in carrying out audits of foreign subsidiaries based in Ireland and reporting to their group auditors who rely on our audit workings.

Our firm has gained significant experience in auditing, accounting, taxation, financial planning and business services through its client base, which ranges from sole trader businesses to multinational companies. We also have experience in auditing various entities such as charities, state funded organisations and friendly societies. We believe that Harney Nolan has a proven ability to provide a punctual high quality service to our clients.

Our firm has internal procedures for quality assurance, which are followed on all audits. These procedures, which are regularly reviewed and updated, ensure that we deliver a uniform high quality service for all clients.

Harney Nolan is a key member of a network of accountants in the Southeast. This network allows firms to exchange ideas and experiences and to increase their knowledge base. It also allows us to develop our understanding of best practice and apply this experience across our client base.

Our clients range from small sole traders to Irish based subsidiaries of multinationals. Geographically the majority of our clients are based in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Kildare and Wexford however we have clients based throughout the country. Our client portfolio represents industry sectors such as manufacturing, retail, professional, wholesale, not-for-profit organisations, construction and property.
