Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the company’s fulfilment operations stay on schedule.
  • Planning daily and weekly dispatches, planning routes, assigning drivers and/or transporters.
  • Booking in delivery slots with customers.
  • Assigning book-in slots for goods outwards/inwards.
  • Communicating to drivers, the relevant information appropriate to the consignment.
  • Co-ordinating and tracking of all dispatches to ensure timely deliveries while also dealing with any issues that may arise.
  • Management of paperwork for customs, ensuring all paperwork is prepared and available on time.
  • Liaising between operations and drivers, as well as collaborating with other departments to optimize transportation services.
  • Handling customer queries and escalating serious complaints to management.
  • Analyse and optimize the company’s logistics processes.
  • Ensure shipping methods comply with national and international regulations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and delivery operators for best transport needs.
  • Coordinate allocation of product for inventory to keep warehouse capacity at optimal levels.
  • Coordinate shipments for delivery, including managing necessary personnel, to maximize efficiency in collaboration with Goods Inwards needs.
  • Promptly resolve shipment and inventory issues as they arise.
  • Ensuring all health and safety standards are held to the highest regard while conducting logistical responsibilities.
  • Implementing robust procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy in picking and loading of orders, and checking for accuracy prior to dispatch.
