Name our Elephant! Carlow Mental Health Association, Mensana Fest 2025

Sep 30, 2025

We are delighted to be working with Carlow Mental Health Association on their Mensana Fest 2025.  They are launching the ‘Elephant in the Room’ programme.

“The Elephant in the Room” is an expression referring to an obvious problem or taboo that everyone acknowledges but deliberately avoids discussing due to discomfort or fear of judgment. In the context of mental health, it signifies the widespread silence and stigma surrounding mental well-being, which prevents people from openly discussing their struggles and seeking help. Our Elephant symbolize these hidden challenges, encouraging open conversations and promoting a culture where it’s okay to talk about mental health and seek support.

We need a name for our Elephant.  Please help us by suggesting a name for our elephant. Please submit your name and the name you would like us to call our elephant.
