Chamber presents to delegation from Guizhou Province

Dg3A-J2WsAAmrQmCounty Carlow Chamber and Carlow County Council Local Enterprise Office met with a delegation from Guizhou Province in China on Friday 29th June 2018.

The meeting looked at ways both the Chamber and the Council work to support and grow businesses across the county, while also investigating the potential for collaboration between the regions in a number of ways including economic development, education etc.

The morning opened with a presentation from Kieran Comerford in relation to the work of the Council on Economic Development and some of the supports they provide to entrepreneurs and businesses in the region.  This was followed up by a presentation on the work of County Carlow Chamber in a number of areas including Lobbying, Business Promotion and Recognition and of course Chamber trade Connections which was designed to work on building and developing relationships for expanding our export markets.

Commenting on the visit, Brian O’Farrell, CEO of County Carlow Chamber`said “It was a pleasure to welcome the delegation lead by Mrs.Yan Wanping , the Director of Guizhou Provincial Department of Finance to Carlow today and speak with them in relation to economic development and the potential for future links between Carlow and the region”.
