Reports to: Social Inclusion Manager

Located: Carlow Town and county and remote working where appropriate

Salary commensurate with experience (35K – 40K)

 

Job Purpose: This is an excellent opportunity to join Carlow County Development Partnership (CCDP) in the key role of Community Development Specialist.  Joining a high performing team and reporting to the Social Inclusion Manager, the purpose of Role 1 is to develop capacity within our communities and work towards greater participation and collaboration. This will involve working with community groups and individuals across the county.

The purpose of Role 2 is to develop and support the Carlow Women’s Centre, including programming, use of space and services.

Our ethos is a firm belief in inclusion, equality and social justice underpinned by a community development methodology.

 

Experience in providing supports and creative solutions in one or more of the following areas will be required:

  • Education and Training
  • Pre-development supports
  • Climate change and bio-diversity
  • Women’s supports including DA
  • Working with diverse communities
