Trainee Robot Lawnmower Technician

Doyle’s Wholesale are looking for an enthusiastic trainee to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of robotic lawnmowers in a hands-on role combining mechanical, electrical, and app‑based skills. This position is ideal for someone tech‑savvy, communicative, and eager to learn while working outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:
▶ Installation & Setup:
Assist with the onsite installation of robot mowers, including boundary wire laying, charging station setup, and configuration.
▶ Servicing & Maintenance:
Carry out routine maintenance, including cleaning, blade replacement, wheel checks, and battery inspection.
▶ Fault‑Finding & Repair:
Work with senior technicians to diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot software errors, and repair mechanical components.
▶ Customer Support & Demo:
Demonstrate mower operation to customers, explain basic troubleshooting, and provide after‑sales support.
▶ Software Updates:
Connect to robots using laptops or mobile apps to update firmware and diagnostic systems.
▶ Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate logs of service visits, repairs, and inventory using digital tools and tablets.

Requirements:

Background: Practical, hands‑on ability (mechanical, electrical, agricultural, or IT background is an advantage).
Experience: Previous experience is not required; full training provided.
Problem‑Solving: Good attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Licence: Full, clean driving licence required.
