County Carlow Chamber of Commerce met with Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland

Jun 22, 2026

County Carlow Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of meeting with Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland, Gabriel Makhlouf and his team on Thursday 18th June in the Woodford Dolmen Hotel.

Sessions like this are important for county Carlow as it gives us an opportunity to engage with one of the key stakeholders on monetary, fiscal and economic policy in Ireland – to gain insight, and to share our perspectives.

Thank you to Governor Makhlouf for taking the time to meet with us, and for the open, engaging and insightful conversations.

Thank you to the Chamber members, and board members who joined us – you provided perspective and input from every sector and industry operating within the county. The broad range of questions allowed us to touch on a wide range of topics – thank you all for your input and engagement.

The information discussed also helps to inform not only our Chamber’s lobbying and advocacy strategy – but also enables us to feed these perspectives into the discussions at national level with Chambers Ireland and European level with Eurochambres.
