Love Carlow, promoting Carlow businesses online and offline

Feb 23, 2021

While many businesses across the county have worked to develop an online presence over the last 12 months, there are many more who are still working on developing beyond the traditional bricks and mortar.  Enterprise Search is an indispensable tool for business of all sizes and the County Carlow Chamber of Commerce is focused on helping Carlow businesses in connecting with customers, partners, suppliers, and communities through a central online platform which will host an expansive directory of Carlow Businesses.

The new platform will be developed as part of Love Carlow and it will work to connect communities and businesses across the county, locally, nationally and internationally through various measures and supports for the businesses. Businesses do not need to have an online presence to be listed as part of the directory, a landing page will be developed for every business along with contact details and links to their own websites where available.

There is no charge for businesses to be listed on the site, indeed the only requirement is that the business is in Co. Carlow and its environs.  The process for registering your business and uploading all relevant details is very straight forward and can be completed online at www.lovecarlow.ie or www.carlowchamber.com.

On launching the project, Brian O’Farrell, CEO of County Carlow Chamber said, “Over the last number of months we have seen many local businesses develop an online presence and through the development of the platform including a comprehensive directory of businesses across Carlow, we can help to promote local businesses and work to strengthen the online and offline profile of Carlow as a place to offers a diverse range of business services and products.  Whether the business is operated by a sole trader or a multinational company, we want to get them listed and include the details of their offering and service, so that it is easier for customers, suppliers and partners to connect with them.”

Love Carlow is a project by the County Carlow Chamber of Commerce and the development of the online platform is supported by Carlow County Council – Local Enterprise Office and the Government of Ireland.

Commenting on the project, Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development and Enterprise at the Local Enterprise Office Carlow said, “Through last year we have seen a phenomenal increase in the number of Carlow business developing and enhancing their online presence. Ensuring that customers, suppliers and partners can find you online and offline is key to every business and we are delighted to be supporting the work of County Carlow Chamber in Promoting the Carlow consumer experience through the development of this platform and directory.”

The County Carlow Chamber is an independent organisation, working on behalf of member businesses across the county.  For further information on the online platform, visit ww.carlowchamber.com or contact them via e-mail on admin@carlowchamber.com.
