County Carlow Chamber are delighted to support Down Syndrome Ireland Employment Programme as our designated Charity Partner as announced this years Carlow Business Awards.

The programme will focus on linking local employers with candidates in an effort to create meaningful employment opportunities for those with Down Syndrome in the local community.  Down Syndrome Ireland also provides training and continuous support to help ensure that the opportunity works really well for everyone involved.  The number of job opportunities for people with Down Syndrome has increased locally, with Chamber members MSD Carlow and Specsavers recently hiring two positions each.
